Mary K. Charles is a school nurse in Santa Clarita, CA. In her spare time, she enjoys attending pow wows, writing, and crocheting. Mary recently contributed her adoptee story to Called Home, an anthology of American Indian and First Nations adoptee narratives by editors Patricia Busbee and Trace A. DeMeyer. Mary hopes to write a book about her adoptee journey, and also wishes to visit Alaska and her Athabascan family next summer.
